Working with watercolor paper was new experience for me. I've always worked on canvas and knew nothing about painting on paper. A 4x6 inch swap, using paper, was held by "Experimental Acrylics, an art list I'm a member of. I decided to participate and enjoyed it very much. The 4x6 inch paintings above were 5 of the paintings I did for the swap.
I enjoy all forms of art, but my heart and passion is paint and fabric. As a quilter, I learned to manipulate fabric with applique. Later, I began making clothing and specialty items for small breed dogs and became a vendor at dog shows, met some wonderful people and blessed with lasting friendships. Today, I not only continue with my small breed dog items, but enjoy my other passion ... paint. Although I've had no training in oils and acrylics, that doesn't prevent me from painting. While I may not know the "rules", there's a sense of freedom, in that you don't worry about rules ... you just enjoy the experience of painting. I have learned much from a group of artists online at Experimental Acrylics on Yahoo and am grateful for each one of them. Thank you for visiting. I hope you'll enjoy my adventure in acrylics.
